Following the success of Ravensbourne’s 3D Storytelling conference in January, we are continuing the 3D Storytelling theme in a suite of training courses across the three production streams: Script, Shoot and Edit.
Delegates on each stream will spend the morning learning the theory of stereoscopic pre-production, production or post, and in the afternoon apply this in a hands-on project workshop.
The script that emerges from day 1 will become the shoot on day 2, and the 3D rushes will be edited on day 3. A real 3D production in just 3 days.
All delegates will be invited back for a screening at the end of the programme.

Day 1: 3D Storytelling – Script – “How many dimensions does a story have?”
How does 3D change the narrative? What is a depth script? In a series of seminars and workshops our industry expert will discuss the important questions that arise from 3D storytelling.
Day 2: 3D Storytelling – Shoot – “It’s just two cameras – right?
Learn the fundamentals of shooting stereo and how to manage your depth budgets, then get hands on with 3D rigs and experiment with how depth can be used to enhance your storytelling.
Day 3: Learn how the grammar of your edit changes in 3D, and how depth can be pulled around in post-production to enhance the viewers experience of the story. Learn the tips and tricks of correction and depth grading and put them into practice in a hands-on workshop.
